GARDEN OF HOPE

Welcome to the Shelter

The Mali Foundation was established by Semikron Inernational GmbH and set up by Mr Muralidhara Rao, former MD of Semikron India, Mumbai.

On February 27, 2008, Mr Peter Martin Emeritius Semikron International Germany, and Dirk Heidenreich of Semikron inaugurated The Mali Shelter, in Bangalore, on land given to the foundation by Dr P J Bagilthaya of the Nava Jeevana Nilaya Trust. It was established to help underprivileged girls and economically backward women to sustain themselves by providing them with training in different skills.

We seek to create a joyous learning environment that transforms a woman's life and gives her the future she deserves. It is a safe haven, where women can fulfill their dreams and realise their potential, becoming confident and equal citizens of India and the world.

The operations of the Mali Shelter are supported by SEMIKRON International GmbH and SEMIKRON India

The Mali Shelter is a home for economically backward women to educate and empower them in vocational skills and become independent.

We provide vocational training for underprivileged women, and seek job placements for the qualified ones.

You can give us your time and expertise, some of your books or electronic items, or better still, help us financially. Please visit the link for further details.
